RATON – Game and Fish officers are looking for information that would assist them in solving a case in which three mule deer were illegally killed and dumped near Holman, New Mexico during the first week of January.

Conservation officers found three deer carcass dumped near the intersection of Mora county roads B023 and B024 near Holman on Jan. 9. One deer was a buck with the head removed and the other two were does. Most of the meat was taken but portions of the carcasses were dumped in an Ol’ Roy dog food bag. There were no deer seasons open at this time and does are not legal game.

The Department offers rewards for information that leads to the arrest or charges against wildlife law violators.
