Silver City – The Department of Game and Fish is looking for information that will assist in solving a case in which a headless mule deer buck was found under the powerline near Ursa Major Road.
A concerned citizen reported the find to a Department officer who investigated and found a decapitated mature buck. From the investigation it was determined that the buck was shot in the neck from Ursa Major Road. It is believed that the deer was shot sometime on December 14, 2015. Evidence was collected from the scene and sent to the crime lab for further analysis.
